WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrading upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a The button will show the item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item level upgrade (click through the following page) slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. It's also important to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
